Adaora Okafor

Adaora Okafor is a London-born music writer who came of age listening to her older sister's TLC and SWV cassettes. After years of contributing cultural essays and music criticism to Pitchfork, Crack, and The Quietus, she transitioned into writing book-length projects that explore the intersections of sound, culture, and personal history.

Her writing career includes the publication of two major books. She is the author of the biography The Honduran Crash and the novel Threshold Frequency, both of which showcase her deep engagement with musical subcultures and contemporary life.

She lives in south London, where she spends her weekends record shopping, attending local gigs, and working on her next writing project.
